题 目：FPGA Accelerated Computing for Internet – Resizing Image at Unparalleled Speed

Abstract
With the rapid development of mobile Internet, the online images are increased exponentially. Image resizing is very common computation for most websites, especially those involved social network, photo sharing and online shopping. Clustertech’s accelerated image resizer scales JPEG images using an FPGA-based coprocessor, offloading the host processors to deliver considerably higher throughput. The host processor usage is only a few percentages even when the accelerator runs at maximum throughput. The talk introduces Clustertech’s accelerated image resizer, which simultaneously achieves 120x power efficiency and 6x performance compared to dual Intel E5-2690 CPUs, totally 20 cores.
The talk also introduces Clustertech’s FPGA product team and available positions. Following the talk, there is a half-hour Q&A sessions for both technical exchange and career queries.

Biography
Dr Haile Yu is the head of FPGA team at Cluster technology Limited. He founded and leads the team to develop various FPGA-based accelerated computing technologies and products for data center computations, especially for Internet companies and Big-Data applications. He received his B.Eng from Zhejiang University and Ph.D from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
